Treble Cone Race Academy is renowned as one of the top training grounds for ski racing athletes in the southern hemisphere. Coordinated by internationally industry accredited coaches, programmes are designed to help develop young athletes' racing skills. Training is based at Treble Cone ski area in Wanaka, New Zealand.

Having hosted race training facilities for the top International World Cup teams for 15 years, Treble Cone identified the potential in developing their ski area into the ‘ultimate race training facility’. With its reliable weather and ideal natural terrain, Treble Cone is the preferred training ground for both the Austrian and American men’s teams. Together by investing in the most up to date equipment and utilising knowledge gained by working with the best in the business, the TC Slopes Manager and his team are confident in their ability to consistently deliver a quality product to ski racers.

In 2002 the opportunity arose for Treble Cone Ski Area to purchase the Wanaka Ski Racing Academy from the local ski club. This group of ski racers was made up of some of the best athletes in New Zealand on both FIS and youth levels. By choosing to continue working on these well-established building blocks, and by adopting their highly experienced coaching team, the new Treble Cone Race Academy evolved into what is now the most successful race training programme in New Zealand.

Since 2002 the Academy has made some major developments under the ownership of Treble Cone Investments Ltd. TCRA has been able to benefit from a wider range of resources and more direct links with the ski field. It has cast its net to an international market and now attracts strong athletes from all corners of the globe.

The Academy continues to build on these solid foundations and is proud of its commitment to the development of young ski racers on an international scale.
