Some of our athletes for the 2009 TCRA programs will be placed in the Te Awa Lodge. All of our athletes, including those staying at the Lookout Lodge down the road, will have access to the amenities at the Te Awa Lodge: laundry facilities, a two-car garage that we convert into a tuning room, hot tub, sauna, 9-hole golf course, rental golf clubs, kayaks, an on-site field for dryland training, high speed wireless internet, and a recreation room with a flat-screen TV and DVD player, plenty of games and books, and a pool table.

The athletes staying at the Te Awa Lodge will be have access to the kitchen and space in the refrigerator to keep items to make their lunch, snacks, etc. Breakfast will be provided daily in the Te Awa Lodge and all TCRA athletes and staff will come together for dinner every night at the nearby Lookout Lodge. A local chef will prepare fresh and healthy meals daily.

These living conditions foster a lot of good, clean fun and socializing, however you can be assured that the athletes will be under constant supervision, as many of our coaches will also be living amongst them.

The Te Awa Lodge is located about 10 minutes out of Wanaka, towards Lake Hawea. The academy coaches will provide a daily shuttle service to Treble Cone, Snow Park, and downtown for training and leisure time.

Please note: all athlete’s staying at the Te Awa Lodge will be provided with bedding linens; however they will need to bring their own bath towels.
